At the heart of Studio Michaelides is a devotion to storytelling. Through her work as a playwright, Phoebe Michaelides weaves together classical influence and contemporary experience, creating works that explore psychology, identity, and transformation.

Her debut play, Through the Grapevine — a modern Greek-inspired tragedy set in a wine shop — was recognised with awards and praise for its bold use of mythic structure and choral form. It tells a story of grief, autonomy, and choice, echoing the ancient while speaking directly to the present.

This was only the beginning. Each work under the Studio Michaelides banner — from Through the Grapevine to new projects now in development — is conceived not simply as a script, but as a living work of art: designed to challenge, move, and endure.
